We are continuing our annual tradition of listing Christmas tree lighting ceremonies in Harlem! Check out the events taking place below. In addition to the historic Harlem parks, there is also usually a lighting at the State Building (please email us if you have details) and the Harlem Meer. This year, Harlem BID will be having a lighting ceremony at West Harlem Piers as part of the Light it Up Harlem campaign. Read below for all of the details. Happy holidays!
Victorian Holiday Lighting at the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (inside the Park on 110th St between Fifth and Lenox Aves.), 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (rain or shine)
Monday, December 6th
Marcus Garvey Park- event will begin with a tree lighting procession and caroling from Pelham Fritz Recreation Center at 6:00 PM; followed by a special holiday program inside the Recreation Center; dinner will be served.
Tuesday, December 7th
West Harlem Piers Park- tree lighting and caroling to begin at 5:30 PM; refreshments provided by Fairway Market.
Thursday, December 9th
Morningside Park- Friends of Morningside Park’s Winter Celebration and Tree Lighting to begin at 4:00 PM.
Saturday, December 11th
St. Nicholas Park- Friends of St. Nicholas Park will be having their annual Holiday Tree Lighting from 5:30-6:30 PM.
Wednesday, December 15th
Jackie Robinson Park- Jackie Robinson Park Conservancy will hold their annual “Lights of Hope” event beginning at 4:00 PM in the Jackie Robinson Recreation Center.
