Holiday Shopping in Harlem

Believe it or not, it is time to start thinking about holiday gifts. Where better to shop than in your own neighborhood?  Harlem has some fantastic stores that we will be featuring from Thanksgiving through New Years for your Christmas, Chanukkah, and Kwanzaa needs.

Two local events taking place are the Made in Harlem Art and Gift Festival and the always popular Shop N Mingle.

Made in Harlem is a two day event featuring works by AFineLyne, D. Shayne Aldrich, EssBee, Michele Bidault
, Jan Blackett, Valerie Deas, Erich Erving, Clymenza Hawkins, Laura R. Gadson, Harlem Pride, Yolene Legrand, Misha McGlown, Pat Mabry, Danielle Moore, Ms. B The Doodle Queen, Ella Murray, Moses Ros Suárez, Norma Rennella, On the Road to Marrakech, Shimoda Accessories, Mercer Tullis, Tagea Vangsgaard, Welcome To Harlem.  In addition to unique holiday gifts, there will also be a prize drawing.

The second holiday shopping event taking place that same weekend is the annual favorite, Shop N Mingle, hosted by Society HAE (Harriet’s Alter Ego) at the Harlem Pop location in the National Black Theater. This event. An eclectic blend of art, music, and emerging designer’s market Shop N Mingle is an opportunity to become acquainted with brands that you might not otherwise come into contact with all under one roof.
