A new African eatery has opened on Eighth Avenue between 148th and 149th Street. More African restaurant than cafe or bakery, La Nomade is a welcome addition to an up and coming area (surrounded by PS 90, Ellington on the Park, and The Sutton) that has little more than a couple of bodegas and 99 cent stores.
You can get everything from curry meat patties, to fried liver sandwiches, to Thiebu at La Nomade. They also have dessert offerings like Harlem’s favorite, Red Velvet Cake. The decor is simple and understated with lots of seating to eat in should you choose to do so.
La Nomade Restaurant Cafe & Bakery is located at 2795 8th Avenue (btwn 148th and 149th Street) from 7:00 AM to 1:30 AM Monday through Friday and until 2:00 AM on Saturday and Sundays. Call for delivery at 212-234-2030.
