Lee Lee’s Baked Goods Closing

The many stages of Lee Lee's

Long time readers know that Uptownflavor.com was the first blog/media outlet to introduce readers to Lee Lee’s Baked Goods. At that time it was a rundown hole in the wall that was staffed by a single gentleman who did everything from baking to serving customers. We later reported about the fresh face lift this Harlem gem received just a couple of years ago.  Sadly, we must now share the news that Lee Lee’s is closing up shop! ‘Mr. Lee’ (as he is affectionately called by the locals) has poured his heart and soul into every batch of rugelach made fresh and buttery each and every day.  Lee Lee’s rugelach has been dubbed the best in the city.

We know that all good things must eventually come to an end, but we are sad to see yet another local, homestyle bakery shutter its doors.

We wish ‘Mr. Lee’ all the best in his future pursuits! Thanks for all of the sweet memories. Read more:

  1. T&J Bakery is gone, now Mr Lee is closing! this only leaves Make My Cake operational. Where am I going to get my baked goods from?
By the way, what ever happened to “The Better Pie Crust Company”?
