Atomic Wings celebrates their first year anniversary

Remember last year when there were three new wings places in Harlem? Just as we predicted there can only be one king of wings and the sole survivor of the new places holding their own is Atomic Wings.

From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today Atomic Wings will be celebrating their first anniversary in Harlem with the community that has supported them. The event is free and open to the public. Special events will include a MPCA elementary school chicken drawing contest. One winner will be selected from each age group (4-6, 7-9, and 11-13) and receive a family dinner night for four at Atomic Wings. The MPCA high school students will present Atomic Wings with an art mural focused on “Harlem Business CARES” to be displayed inside the store.

The celebration will also feature an adult wing-eating contest with wings drenched in Atomic Wings’ Nuclear sauce. The winner will take home gift certificates from Atomic Wings and a gift basket filled with items from local businesses.

In addition to the evening celebration, Atomic Wings will feature a special menu honoring Harlem political figures including items like Mayor Bloomberg Buffalo Wings and the Senator Perkins Signature Chicken Caesar Salad as well as a side order of Chicken Littles and two sides for $9.99. A whole fried chicken, waffles and mashed potatoes are also being added to the menu in honor of the anniversary.

Sounds like a fabulous way to close out the weekend.
