What’s Old is New Again – Wells’ Chicken and Waffles

I had a pleasant surprise while traipsing down Seventh Avenue today.  Wells’, the Original Home of Harlem’s Chicken and Waffles, is open for business and serving up heaping plates of hot, steamy soul food.  The location had a few tables for diners who chose to eat in, but the majority of the customers were ordering take-out from the glass encased steam table.

Just to get your mouth watering here are some items from the menu:

  • Chicken and Waffles served with strawberry or peach butter
  • Shrimp and Fries
  • Fish Sandwiches
  • Seafood Gumbo (Friday-Sunday only)

They also serve breakfast, have lunch specials from 11:30-3:00 Tuesday through Friday and they deliver.
