Hip Hop Legend now serving Harlem

Justin Timberlake isn’t the only celebrity being hospitable in New York.  Hip hop legend, Doug E. Fresh plans to open up two new restaurants in Harlem.doug_e_fresh.jpg

Although still performing in almost 300 shows per year, Doug E. recently added restaurateur to his extensive resume by opening Caribbean restaurant Negril Hideaway in Elmwood Park, NJ. Doug E.’s Chicken and Waffles will be opening in Harlem in August and his second Caribbean restaurant The Hot Pot, also in Harlem, is currently under construction.

  1. Hi Doug! Surprise – It’s me! I wanted to shout you out and let you know how VERY, VERY PROUD I am of you and all your many endeavors and accomplishments. I can’t wait to put my feet under a table at your new restaurant and stuff my face with some delicious chicken and waffles.

You are doing and have done SO MUCH and SO GOOD for yourself, your family and your community! From a youngster, you were destined to be great and you have surpassed that and more.

My heart bursts with pride and you plant a humongous smile on my face that is sure to stay. Blessings to you in all you do. Cya at the Apollo!!!

    Much love, Ms Pat

  2. Hi Doug,
I’m Shim’s mother and saw you perform at the Harlem State Office Building. I loved your performance and the new material you added. So glad for you and your family about the restaurants. I will certainly come to the Harlem restaurant when it opens. Oh, I will also spread the word to my circle of people to support your businesses.
    Much Blessings!
    Ms. Karen
