The Harlem Book Fair took place along 135th Street two weekends ago. While the fair has been scaled back in recent years, a good number of dedicated bibliophiles turned out to browse the booths in spite of the 90 plus degree temperatures.
An annual summer tradition in El Barrio for more than 41 years, this outdoor street event involves salsa music, dancing, stickball games, food, and a street fair.
