Curbed brings news of the launch of the PS 90 Condos, a new development on 148th Street. While this project was in the works long before the downturn and it remains to be seen what kind of prices it will sustain (450k- 900k) or how successful it will be. Either way it is good to see quality housing with great amenities in the area and reuse of Harlem’s historic buildings. Check out the website for more pictures, prices, and unit layouts. The development did include some affordable units (200-350K) through a lottery managed by HCCI with preference for CB10 residents, but that lottery is already closed.

This is a beautiful use of a building. HPD owns a very similar one on west 145th between Broadway and Amsterdam. Why has it taken so long for them to develop that also into affordable middle class housing. Keeping the middle class in NYC is key to its success!
