“A Taste of Harlem” will take place on Saturday, June 20 at 10:00 A.M at Windows Over Harlem on Saturday, June 20th. The event pays tribute to the diversity of Harlem and its rich community that has inspired many renowned musicians, artists and writers.
“Harlem is home to a myriad of cultures and ethnicities. ‘A Taste of Harlem’ is a celebration of this colorful community and an affirmation of its rich history and vibrant future,” said Eva Frazier, President of Windows Over Harlem.
Guests of Honors include Harlem Chamber of Commerce President Lloyd Williams, NYS Senator Bill Perkins, Congressman Charles B. Rangel, Senator Bill Perkins, Assemblyman Keith L.T Wright and Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer.
Student attendees include participants of CCIP and international students from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Williams will provide insights into Harlem’s rich history and culture. Guests will also be treated to a food sampling session with cuisine from a variety of cultures – Soul Food, African, Latin, Middle American and Chinese – as well as performances featuring Gospel music, Soul and Salsa. Lou Myers will be performing a jazz piece.
