Last month the FC Harlem Lions unveiled the site of a proposed new soccer field for Harlem youngsters. The event wrapped up at the Hip Hop Cultural Center located on the second floor of the Magic Johnson Theater complex where h’orderves were served to guests as they viewed a colorful photo exhibit of players and participants.
The Harlem based soccer club is hoping to transform the unused space underneath the West Side Highway at 145thStreet and Riverside Drive into a synthetic soccer field that will offer Harlem youth the opportunity to improve their lives through better access to sports and fitness programs.
