Harlem Supper Club at Ottomanelli's Brothers
The Harlem Supper Club has been growing strong over the past few months and now boasts over 100 members. The group, organized by uptown resident Elaine Walker, was formed to explore all of the ‘Uptown Flavor’ Harlem has to offer. So far the group has tried out Cafe Largo, Covo, Amy Ruth’s, Londel’s (jazz night), Mojo, Itzocan Bistro, Chez Lucienne and soon Lolita’s. Anyone can join via the group’s facebook page to attend their ‘meetings’ (rsvp required) – that is once a month for brunch and once a month for dinner.
The most recent brunch meeting featured a relatively new spot in Harlem, Ottomanelli Brothers on 5th Avenue and 111th Street. The outing was the HSC’s biggest showing yet, with over 25 people attending. Of course with so many people, there were mixed reviews, and timely service was a challenge at one of the tables, but most seemed to enjoy their meal. The brunch menu includes challah french toast (a favorite) a frittata, omlette, pancakes, all with side of sausage or bacon, or a juicy burger with waffle fries (also a favorite). Now… hold on… the best part is that you get a these tasty meal options plus bottomless coffee… and TWO drinks (selection of bloody mary, mimosa, sangria, or juices) all for ONLY $9.95!
I hear their lunch/dinner menu is equally good, and also at prices you can’t beat. I’ll be back to try the steak
