Harlem Food Choices

Harlem Gourmet Deli

While Harlem has seen a lot of new places opening up, most have been more on the nice sit-down cloth napkin side.   Well in a timely fashion, Harlem Gourmet Deli has finally opened up on 125th Street (between Morningside Ave and St. Nicholas Ave) and offers a recession- and neighborhood-friendly food choice.

The Deli offers a mix of regular deli sandwiches (boar’s head), wraps and burgers, breakfast and halal food, as well as a salad  bar with a decent selection.  The newly-renovated space has a nice street presence and a small but nice enough seating area – something most of the neighborhood’s delis lack.   If you’re in the area, this will be a nice spot for a quick bite on the way to or from the subway or post office.  Prices are right, so I’m sure they will do well.

Also, for people following Mojo,  word is they will now be serving brunch starting this weekend, so you may want to try that out too.
