Oklahoma hasn’t closed, William. I passed by there the other day and they were open for business. I was kind of surprised myself that they are hanging in there but the neighborhood seems to like them.

A good Philly Cheesecake place would be wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Let’s hope it is successful and serves great food. (I had the same hope for Oklahoma BBQ but they have closed.

A Cheescake Factory would do well in the commercial space located on the north east corner of 126th St and 5th Ave….rumor has it that an Applebees is opening in that spot.

I heard that back in the day(70′s) there was a shop located on Lenox Ave and 142nd that was famous for it “Philly steak” type sandwich called “MamerJammer” an overstuffed meat sandwich with cheese,onions and plenty of hot peppers, covered with BB-Q sauce.
Does any one remember this place?
