From November 29th:
No, I’m talking about Patsy’s, I am talking about the new wine store and pizza buffet opening today on the corner of 129th and Lenox Avenue. From a tipster:
I met the wine people on Wednesday (from Lenox Wines). They also own the restaurants opening next door, which is supposed to be a pizza buffet and a take-out place. The wine store was a nice size, decent selection with a lot of bottles in the $10-20 range. The owner or manager I met was really nice– he said they believe very strongly in supporting the neighborhood and contributing to local job creation. The restaurants are slated to open this Saturday. With the loss of Slice of Harlem, there wasn’t anywhere nearby to get pizza beyond the major delivery chains, and no way of getting a single slice. I’m looking forward to checking it out.
So there you have it. When you get tired of eating left over turkey and dressing for the 5th day in a row, you can head over to Lenox for a quick slice then pick up a bottle of vino for a night cap.

I went there last night and purchased a bottle of wine at the wine shop and then had to outside to re enter the pizza buffet. When I asked for some wine glasses they told me I had to go back to the wine shop and bring them to the pizza buffet. It was pretty funny, but the food was ok (what should I expect for $10.00). The one thing that needs to be addressed right away are the bums outside the door looking in at the wine shop and occasionally asking for beer or malt liquor.

I purchased a bottle of wine about two or three days ago….the place/staff are not bad. However, I think that they can improve the asthetics of the wine shop. Also, the pizza buffet seems too large (a lot of open space) and low budget. I think the owners should check out the wineries on 8th ave btwn 116th and approx. 123rd streets…..ambiance is important.
