Amiri Baraka and Woodie King, Jr’s New Federal Theatre, in association with City Parks Theatre, proudly presents the 2008 production of iconic playwright Amiri’s Baraka’s dynamic drama,

“The Toilet” is a riveting play exemplary of several recurring themes in Baraka’s critically acclaimed work, which often depicts the drama of the sensitive, isolated individual pitted against the social code of his community; a marginalized individuals’ self-hatred as perpetuated by society; and the failure of love, or of the ability to love in our society.

Where: Playing outdoors at The EAST RIVER AMPHITHEATRE (FDR Drive below Grand Street-lower Manhattan), Wednesday & Thursday, August 6th and 7th (8:PM), and ST. MARY’S AMPHITHEATRE (146th Street & St. Ann’s Avenue- the Bronx), Wednesday, August 13th (8:00PM)
