Last summer I started posting “Friday Freestyles“. As life took over these posts got tossed to the side but I’ve been inspired to try to get back into the groove and post one non-Harlem related posting each week. This week I will be sharing some of my favorite online music sites.
1. HoneySoul.com: Honey is as sweet as her name. She started out by sharing music on the net and has gone on to host several internet music shows as well as her own A.M. music show in Houston, Tx. Honey is the first on scene to discover new up and coming R&B and Neo-Soulsters.
2. Soulbounce.com: Quickly becoming a daily stop on the blogosphrere, Soulbounce features artists from present and past.
3. Friday Favecast: Another reason to look forward to Fridays! Fave offers a blend of music, advice and social commentary.
4. EJFlavors.com: Got a taste for some sticky, sweet old school? EJ is the man to satisfy your sweet tooth.
5. Todd Kelley: Representing the West Side, Todd has a eclectic mix of new and old school mixes and mash ups.
6. DJDiva: Mixing it up from the original home of hip hop. Her tagline says it all: The Mixtress of R&B
7. Vibes & Scribes: Seeking something a little jazzier? Check out this blend of words and rhythms.
New on the scene:
8. Soulrific: Infinite Ink publisher, Nikki, has launched the soulful and seductive Soulrific podcast comprised of a blend of underground and big name talent.
If you swing by any of the mentioned sites be sure to tell them U.F. sent you. Do you have favorite podcasts or online music sites we didn’t mention above? Let us know. Until next Friday…please don’t stop the music.
