<b> I don't think the use of the word "S**c" is in reference to a slur. I think in this case it is used as a "Mock' of how someone with a thick Latino accent says the word "Speak" which sometimes sound like "S**c".
"Let me s**c(speak) to you"</b>

Spic? They think they are disarming the power of the ethnic slur by taking ownership of it? Is that the idea?

If someone held an event called, "N*##er Up" would Uptown Flavor promote and support it?

Serious question. I will have no problem finding Latinos that are offended with the use of the word by Latinos in any way, just as there are Blacks offended by the use of the N word, even by Blacks.

UP would never do something similar if the ethnic slur was directed toward Black people. How about some consistency, is Latino dignity not worth upholding and having standard for? To the same measure of Black dignity?

Or is it okay for you to republish the latino slur? It's clear there is a time when Spic is acceptable with UF, how about F@% (gay male)? Do you have a list of what slurs are acceptable here?
