Exhibition Traces Abyssinian’s Legacy and Work in Harlem

In honor of the Abyssinian Baptist Church 200th year anniversary, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture will host an exhibition tracing the evolution of the church from its founding in Lower Manhattan in 1808 as the first African-American Baptist Church in the State of New York through its current work as an agent for positive social change in the Harlem community and the City of New York.  Opens February 4
