Environmental Leadership in Harlem

Earlier this week, Manhattan received the 2007 award for Smart Growth Achievement from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Sheena Wright of the Abyssinian Development Corporation accepted the award during a ceremony at Thurgood Marshall Academy. The EPA regional administrator praised Harlem in particular as a leader in environmentally sustainable development. Read more at webwire.com.
