Don’t you just love Harlem? There’s so much to do here this weekend. You don’t need to leave to kick it. Hope you have a good weekend. Tomorrow is December already!

- From Mambo to Hip Hop: A South Bronx Tale is playing at 8:00 pm during the Hispanic New York Film Festival. Be sure to check in the HNYFF on Saturday too.
- Take the kiddies out for an afternoon of fun at the Apollo Circus of Soul. Shows are every Friday through Sunday until December 23rd.
- Get in touch with your inner John Lennon at the Imagine Peace Exhibition is open over at Canvas Paper and Stone Gallery. The opening reception starts at 6:00 pm.
- Get ready to tap your toes and bob your head. Q-Tip and Roy Hargrove fuse hip hop and jazz at the Harlem Stage. The performance starts at 6:30. Not sure if there are tickets left for this one.
Saturday, Dec 1
- Bring your furry friend to St. Nick’s Dog Park Coffee Bark. My adorable boxer puppy and I will be in attendance. It’s the last one until April.
- Harlem for the Holidays kicks off at 2:00 pm with a three-hour party at Nubian Heritage. Vendors, wine-tasting and free gift-wrapping will be available.
Sunday, Dec 2
- The 16th Annual Double Dutch Holiday Classic is at the Apollo at 1:00 pm. Tickets are still available.
- Get your holiday shopping started (or buy something for yourself) at Shop N’ Mingle from 1pm to 7pm at the National Black Theatre. Lots of cool designers, open bar, complimentary desserts and free gift bags sound good to me.
