Nick Sprayregen, Tuck-It-Away Storage owner, is the largest private property owner in Columbia’s proposed expansion and he wants a rezoning. The rezoning plan would allow residential buildings (taller that what is allowed now) in an area that is currently zoned for manufacturing. Community Board 9 and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer have both rejected the plan. The City Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing about the project and members of the community are encouraged to attend and comment on the record.
