The Morris-Jumel Mansion was George Washington’s Headquarters in September of 1776 during the Battle of Harlem Heights. To celebrate the event we will have Barnet Schecter, author of The Battle for New York speaking at 2:00 and Robert Quackenbush, author of the Children’s book, Daughter of Liberty speaking at 3:00. There will be colonial crafts, refreshments, and Revolutionary War exhibits. No reservations needed!
Music at the Mansion

Brooklyn Baroque (Rebecca Pechefsky, harpsichord, Andrew Bolotowsky, flute, David Bakamjian, cello) and Gregory Bynum, recorder will present “Crossing the Channel: Baroque Music from England and France” There will be a reception following the concert.
