Went to Maroon’s a couple of weeks ago and chastised the bartender about not opening in Harlem yet. He told me they changed the target date for sometime in the fall — give or take. I’d say by November/December although they are targeting September/October. Considering it is already the end of August and the space isn’t even close to being finished September/October is waaaayyyy off!

Though I don’t celebrate more fast food (especially on 125th), that restaurants are opening along those corridors is a good thing. Hopefully, even more (and of a better variety) will open.

Some of Subway’s options are low-fat, but it is still disgusting food.

why, though? i mean, any resident of harlem asks themselves every time a dining choice presents itself. is it that neighborhood residents just don’t patronize healthier establishments? or that the healthier options are so much more expensive, or less convenient in terms of opening and closing times, etc, that it prevents people from choosing it? or is it poor service at these establishments that makes you frustrated for attempting to spend your money locally?
