After 8 years, the prestigious Classical Theatre of Harlem is leaving their primary residence at the Harlem School of the Arts.

The award-winning theatre company has received glowing reviews by the New York Times for their unusual adaptations of timeless classics. The company has already been staging their shows in locations away from from their primary HSA space including city parks, the Carnival Center in Florida and the Folger Theatre in Washington, D.C.

The company is closing out this season with (The Blood) ELECTRA by Sophocles running May 24 – June 24, 2007.  Next year CTH will be producing shows on 42nd Street at The Box; the Gatehouse in Harlem; and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.
