While West Harlem found out about the acquisition of a third NYSC , neighbors to the north are petitioning to get any chain gym to venture upward. Apparently the closest they have is a $10 a month chain opening on the strip of commercial space next to Target at 225th Street. [WaHi]
With all the talk about Sugar Hill one would think that it would be the perfect location for an old fashioned sweets shop specializing in bulk candy and ice cream; apparently not. While wandering in the area I saw a Marshal’s notice on the short lived Candy Land of Harlem. RIP. We barely knew you.
Across the street on Amsterdam and 144 is a new salad and juice bar called Ma Caribbean (need to confirm the name) under construction. They appear to be close to opening.
