FAMILY FIRST FRIDAY is a FREE community gathering with dinner, games, film screening and town meeting about issues affecting communities of color. The series, produced by Imagenation and St. Mark’s United Methodist Church addresses topics ranging from AIDS, Crime, Homophobia, Poverty, Racism and other issues affecting communities of color. Each event will be open to the public and include a complimentary dinner at 6pm, games for the youth and film (provided by Imagenation) at 7:30 pm followed by a panel discussion of community leaders (to be announced). Some of the past films feastured include; THE UNTOLD STORY OF EMMETT LOUIS TILL, THE N WORD and ¡PALENTE SIEMPRE PALENTE!
FAMILY FIRST FRIDAYS is presented by St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and ImageNation Film Festival and co-sponsored by Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement, Inc. (HCCI).
