verizon_moreless.jpgNot to be outdone by Sprint and T-Mobile, Verizon has decided to open a new location on 125th Street in Harlem. The new store will be located at 166 West 125th Street in a 2200 square foot space.

The Harlem location will open with a week of fanfare. On Friday, a ribbon cutting ceremony with New York Mets Manager Willie Randolph will take place. A $5000 donation will be made to the East Harlem Coalition Against Domestic Violence from the HopeLine. HopeLine collects, recycles and donates the proceeds of of recycled phones to combat domestic violence and empower battered women.

On Saturday, WBLS FM will broadcast live form the store between the hours of 11 A.M. and 1 P.M. The following Saturday, February 17, Power 105 will take over the airwaves with a live broadcast from noon to 2 P.M.
