“It is ungodly, almost atheistic for the Catholic Church to be engaged in a real estate deal at the expense of what is considered by preservationists, members of the congregation, members of the community as a landmark, as a precious religious edifice that reflects the history of this community,” said State Senator-elect Bill Perkins.
