I’ve been meaning to write about this place for well over a month but haven’t been back up to speak to the owners. Many readers in the Hamilton Heights section may already know that there is a full scale candy shop in Harlem! It is called Candyland of Harlem and it is located at 145th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
The night I first spotted it back in October they had just closed for the night. My friend and I couldn’t believe our eyes and we walked over the window where we greedily pressed our faces against the glass and salivated over all the sweet treats attractively displayed in clear bins inside.
Now there is a one stop shop for Mary Janes, Long Boys, Now & Laters, Jelly Bellys, Gummi Worms and more.
