-The Metro section of AMNY published a “Dining in Brief” blurb about Harlem Grill. What caught our attention was the last part of the write up that informs us that they offer free shuttle service from Midtown. That’s good news for the 17% of our readers who don’t live in Harlem.
Touting itself as this generation’s Cotton Club, Harlem Grill
opens[Uf editor's note: Harlem Grill had been open for going on two years!] with the promise of offering new American cuisine in a lush, classic atmosphere while you listen to jazz, blues or a comedy performance. Executive chef Tyson Jordan concocts dishes that take a Harlem-style approach to time-tested favorites. Start with the braised short ribs with wild mushroom and grits, continue on to the claypot red snapper with caramelized root veggies and adouille sausage and finish with the homemade sweet potato cheesecake. For diners who dreadthe long trek to Harlem[Uf editor's note: this is a 25-30 trip on the 2 or 3 train from Times Square and even shorter trip on the A and D trains!] do not fret. The restaurant offers free shuttle service to and from the restaurant from various spots in Midtown. Sweet!-Heidi Patalano
